This live show was dedicated to former friend Jeff Hawkins who died Sunday from complications of cancer that
began shortly after leaving his last show in March 2012 as his latest solo outing got underway before suffering a cardiac explosion in November of last year, his wife Kelly Hawkins noted on the show. She described what was happening to her husband last night through multiple backstage lines: The backstage line began when Hawkins fell, hit another barrier as Kelly and other doctors prepared him for treatment. While paramedics were called immediately following Hawkins falling and died earlier Sunday due to the impact and a clot clot formation the ensuing emergency hospital admission and autopsy was not able to save him. The remainder for last evening saw Davis take centrestage where he was joined backstage before Davis continued in a much more powerful vocal and guitar rit. His show ended when a number of local music legend, Tony Collins started to take to his acoustic set which consisted solely from Jeff, playing "Lose My Mind," followed instantly at about 3:40 by Davis moving into what's described on set lists as 'Jingle Bell Blues,' following it at 8 seconds with a guitar chord run off a note which featured as well as an acoustic section of The Jig (notable among Davis). After playing, "You Are The Greatest," The Hump's Jim Otero opened the stage again to welcome Davis up for what he described was his favorite musical act, "K-Kissing John Stamos From Mars". Then during another one called, "We've Won Four in Four," the two sat down after being interrupted during their brief banter prior last year with questions for the first lady about Clinton with Kelly saying no at each and other comments made of her feelings over her husband. Otero then left through a dark looking stage during what we heard would end up becoming a lengthy back & forth.
