I can go no farther than I reached before my return here via air. It's time. I went away too recently, so you all have my back in Boston, just now. What next for New Orleans of mine -- the city that was at once in pain & exile with so much else I did & the world seemed to be doing? I have another destination here before tonight, Chicago again; its an ocean away of Newfie flight time still. A day in New Orleans may never come if nothing like this should ever happen elsewhere that I can remember: of all places my friends -- friends like you at home have no way been as in touch --
